Hello Hivers! I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend but somehow my hopes were dashed as I got called into the office on Saturday. I spent the whole day there and Sunday just slipped away so fast, like in a twinkle of an eye! So not fair! Wish we had two Sundays in a week. LOL!
I'll be writing on the blogging challenge question - Which languages do you speak?

Language are those words we speak and express ourselves through them. They are a form of communication.
Let me start at the beginning. My dad's work required him to move around the country a lot. Growing up, we traveled from state to state and I can count off my fingers the states I have not been to in Nigeria. Also, education and work took me to some parts of the country so I ended up picking some few words or phrases in some languages.
I am Yoruba, one of the many languages in Nigeria and I speak and write Yoruba fluently. When my Dad was transfered to the North, I was five and we moved around some northern states a lot. I schooled in the north and can speak the Hausa language fluently. It's been said I have an accent! Lol.

In my country after graduation from the university, it's compulsory to undergo a one-year youth service program. I was posted to Enugu, a state in the East where I spent like a year and six months there. Sadly, I couldn't speak the igbo language like I so much wanted to but I understand some words and phrases. If I spent more time there, I would be fluent in igbo.
When I am asked what languages I speak, I just say English, Yoruba and Hausa. I long to still learn more language possibly French? I love their accent. Interesting, isn't it?
I can't wait to read your comments on the languages you speak.
