Happy Sunday Hivers!

My burning desire to visit different places; to get acquainted to the different cultures in the Philippines (the Philippines has a diverse culture); and to try a nomadic lifestyle were among the reasons why I decided to leave home. Although I know at first, it would be exhausting and challenging but still I pushed it to turn my dream into reality.

It was early in the morning when I carried my regular size backpack and a small sling bag. I told myself this is it. There's no turning back because I really wanted to live my dream.

The sun was about to rise when I step out the main door of the house. Everyone at home was still on the deep sleep. Undeniably, the feeling of uneasiness was present that time as I left home but I never listened to the negative thoughts and feelings that will try to destruct my plan, I just entertained the great excitement though I know my trip was full of uncertainties.

I travelled to Samboan for the first time. It's 4 hours bus ride from home. I'm just alone in the place, I have no friends nor acquaintances; no family members; and no relatives to rely on.

I rented a room that is close to the beach. It's just 5-minute walk and the white pebbles caught my attention as I arrived at the beach.

Of course, as usual when I am at the beach I immediately took off my shoes because I love grounding. Have you tried it? I hope you will try it even once. The feeling is different.

While I strolled around the Samboan main town, I sighted a Japanese stall.

I went to the food stall and checked if there's something that I like to try.

As I checked their menu, I was not familiar of the food. So I asked the crew of their best seller.

The crew told me to try a Takoyaki with Cheese. It's just php45.00 or almost 1 USD. So I ordered 1 serve.

The aroma of the food made me want to try it immediately but opppsss the temperature was too hot so I let the hot temperature subside first or else my tongue will get burned.

The food will immediately melt once you put it in your mouth. I can't say that it is delicious because of the strange taste, but maybe for others it's delicious. But I finished the food.

After I ate at the Japanese stall, I went to Samboan Plaza. There were only few people went there, maybe because that time children are not allowed to visit in the public places.

But hmmmm I saw a mother who brought her child at the plaza.

Maybe people love to stay here late in the afternoon because the place is perfect to witness the sunset.

While strolling around the plaza, I saw this street vendor and I bought 1 serve of kwek-kwek (a quail egg wrapped with flour). You should try it once you will visit Philippines. It's absolutely yummy. It is one of the best street foods in the Philippines.

The people in Samboan are friendly and helpful. I remember my first day in Samboan, an old lady help me to get a cheaper accomodation because I told her that I am a budget traveller. She recommended me a nice; safe; and cheap lodging.

Though I travelled alone to the different places but I was not lonely because I was able to meet and talk with different people.
