Do you know that most towns in the southern part of Cebu are filled with so many enchanting tourist attractions? Sometimes you may find difficult to decide which tourist spots would you like to visit first because there were so many. They were abundant of stunning waterfalls; remarkable white sand beaches; high mountains; and beautiful heritage parks.
Speaking of the latter, I had visited one of the beautiful tourist attractions in Alegria, their well-maintained and beautiful heritage park. Have you been there?
Two days ago, I'd been to Alegria. I woke up early in the morning, I prepared the stuffs I needed, I took shower and left the resort (where I temporarily stay) early.
The Alegria town is a small coastal town in the south of Cebu. It is a nearby town in Samboan. It is around 20-30 minutes bus ride. I'd paid Php45.00 for a non air-conditioned bus as my fare from Samboan to Alegria maintown.
As I arrived in the maintown, my attention was immediately caught by the beautiful heritage park. It is close to their parish church. I immediately headed to their park.
The weather was pretty good that time and the scenery was so beautiful. It was actually a perfect day for me to practice my photography. There were lots of nice view.
My first plan that time was to capture the different angle of the church. The best angle (based to my own judgment) will be posted on my blog however, I changed my mind because I wanted to share with you what I had captured during that trip. Photos above are the different angles of the church. Hope you like it.
As I strolled around the park I sighted a lovely flower and decided to capture it with the church as the background.
During the Spanish regime, this structure was very important to the people of Alegria way back in 1800s. According to the history, this was used as a detecting device. You may read the history below.
The local government unit maintained the cleanliness around the significant landmark of Alegria. The plants surround it was beautifully trimmed. Have you noticed how tidy it is?
The park is not that huge compared to other parks however, it was clean and well-maintained, lots of benches scattered around and there were many big trees that give shade to people from the sunlight.
They have also food stalls within the vicinity of the heritage park. If you wanted to give yourself some refreshments after strolling around the park you can have it there. And if you also wanted to treat yourself a body massage, the adjacent building is a health wellness center that offers a whole body massage. That's great, right?
My experience in Alegria was full of sight seeing, picture taking and walking. It was truly a great day.
