Happy Tuesday Hivers!

My mom only planted a few string bean plants in the first batch, so she realized it would be better to grow more of them. With only a few plants, we wouldn't have enough string beans to offer if someone wanted to buy some. Aside from that, my brother also loves string beans, which gave my mom another reason to plant more of them in our garden.

She sowed some additional seeds, but not too many. She only added six more plants because we didn't want to grow too many and end up having difficulty finding enough space for them to climb. String beans are climbing plants, after all. In fact, we decided to let them climb along our fence instead because we were already using our garden trellis for other plants.

This is also one of the challenges of growing climbing vegetables, especially when you start running out of space or don't have enough structures for them to climb on. Fortunately, we have a cyclone fence, so we found a suitable spot where the string beans could grow and climb. At least we were able to make use of the fence rather than leave that space unused.

However, we also have other seedlings waiting to be transplanted, including cucumbers, winged beans, and sponge gourds. Since these are also climbing plants that will need space to grow, we decided to limit the number of string bean plants we would grow. We have to plan ahead and make sure there's enough room for all of them in the garden.

We're truly grateful to see how our garden becomes more abundant with each passing day. It's so satisfying to see more and more plants growing and filling the spaces that used to be empty. The garden looks so much more alive now compared to when we were just starting out. Hopefully, just like our first batch of string beans, which produced plenty of pods, this new batch will also reward us with a bountiful harvest. We're looking forward to seeing them grow and produce more!

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
