Happy Wednesday Hivers!

Doctors often recommend walking 10,000 steps a day to stay active and maintain good health. So, why not turn grocery shopping into an opportunity to get those steps in? It's a great way to combine exercise with an errand. Come along with me as we visit our usual grocery store!

Ever since Metro Supermarket opened in the neighboring town, it has become our regular grocery shopping destination. We enjoy shopping here because the store is spacious and more organized compared to other grocery stores. We only do our grocery shopping once a month to save on transportation costs. Fares have become quite expensive lately, especially with the rising fuel prices, so we try to make the most of every trip.

As soon as we entered the store, it was easy to notice that they were already gearing up for Christmas. Christmas packages and all sorts of items for our Noche Buena celebrations were already on display. Time really flies! In just a few more weeks, we'll be celebrating Christmas once again!

Every time we go grocery shopping, we make sure to bring a shopping list. We stick to what's written on it and buy only what we actually need. This is where self-discipline comes in. We have to be mindful of our spending because if we keep buying things on impulse, we'll be the ones suffering when our budget runs out. It's always better to shop wisely and stick to our priorities.

Well, since we were already at the grocery store, we took the opportunity to check the prices of Noche Buena packages and other ingredients we'll need for our Christmas celebration. This way, we can plan and prepare our budget ahead of time. Budgeting can really give you a headache, don't you agree? Do you feel the same way? But anyway, we'll just have to do our best to make ends meet and get through it. That's life! We just have to keep going and make the most of what we have.

After grocery shopping, we stopped by a store that offers cheaper prices on different products. I bought a pouch because I left my pouch in Cebu. I noticed this while rearranging my room, so I thought it was time to get a pouch to keep my things more organized.

After buying everything we needed, we decided it was time to head home. We didn't want to spend too much time walking around because my mother's knees often hurt. Still, she needs some physical activity, so walking is good for her. However, completing 10,000 steps isn't necessary, especially since too much walking can make it difficult for her to walk the following day.

And that wraps up our little grocery trip! We managed to buy what we needed, get some steps in, and prepare for the coming Christmas season. Sometimes, even simple errands can be a good way to stay active and spend time together.
