The Seated Liberty is my favorite design for an American coin. In 1855 when my seated half dollar was made the same design was used for the dollar, quarter, dime, and half dime but later it was also used for the 20 cent coin.. Apparently the general population liked the design too because it was used on all those coins and it was minted from 1837 to 1891. My example is in a low grade, but I got I got a great deal on it buy paying less than $40. Seated Liberty dimes are much cheaper at $10 in low grades.
Mint state coins are very expensive but also beautiful such as this example.
