I went down to the park today to get an update on all my Feathered Friends... Here are a few of my latest photos.
The Great Blue Herons are still hard at work building or repairing their nests. I didn't see any sign of heron chicks yet.
The whole time I was watching the heron colony a pair of small birds were running around on the ground almost at my feet. I think this may be a male Oregon Junco with a mouth full of little green worms. I didn't get a clear shot of the female.
The next thing I noticed was a lot of Canadian Geese swimming in the pond...
...but what's up with these two? They were looking back and forth and acting like they were on guard.
I got closer to take a look. Mom kept moving in front of me and blocking my view but she wasn't aggressive and didn't hiss at me.
There were three goslings but I only managed to get a photo of two of them. Aren't they cute?
As usual, there were plenty of Mallard Ducks. I tried for a while to catch them in flight. This was the best result.
One more bird... here's a male American Wigeon.
I couldn't leave the park without capturing some flower shots. Here's part of a field of wildflowers.
There were thousands of tulips are in bloom. I was out of time and had to start walking home.
On the way, I saw this yellow Lamborghini. Would you want something like this? Not me. I'd sell it and buy camera gear. Then I'd live off the balance of the money for a long, long time!
I'd like to tell you more about my day but look at the time... it's half-past dandelion! I gotta go. Thanks for visiting!
