This week's theme (ROUND 283)
SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD. FREE THEME
Hey, @nelinoeva.
Do you often see a heron in your area? You probably have a lot of them.
For me, the heron is a rare bird. I usually see this big bird only a couple of times during the summer. And it can be a long distance.
This evening, after the end of the working day, I went for a walk with my dog to the river. I haven't walked this route with her for 2 weeks now. The big grass and the stream stopped me from such an adventure. This time I easily walked through the stream and saw that someone had ridden an ATV along the grassy road and now we can safely go to the river. It's good.
And I also noticed a bird flying high in the sky. She was flying from the river towards the stone quarry. I once met a heron there.
I didn't even take pictures of the bird. But... Another big bird appeared from somewhere behind the trees and it was a little closer to me.

It's a heron. Wonderful! And I have my camera with me. I started shooting the camera towards the bird, I took a lot of photos. But the heron was far away from me. The footage turned out to be more or less good, when the bird was illuminated by the rays of the setting Sun.
I waited for the heron to fly over me, but no, it didn't. After flying a little away from me, she also headed towards the stone quarry. So, I saw two herons at once. Great.

I reached the river and again did not recognize the river. I was expecting to see a big sandy beach, but there isn't one. This year, even in July, there was a lot of water in the river and, apparently, it carried the sand downstream. I saw the beach in the spring, but now it's gone. While I was thinking about it, I missed the moment when a heron flew out from under the shore. She flew to the other side of the river low above the water and was barely visible.
It was the third heron in one evening!
