As one of the strongest hurricanes to ever hit Florida inches closer, it's clear skies and 70 degrees here in So Cal. Unfortunately I only moved here about 3 years ago and still have all my family and friends living in Miami. It's been a helluva week stressing this storm with my family dealing with gas and water shortages for a week now. As of the latest update it seems as if Miami is getting the best of it. But in reality I don't think there is a good part of a category 5 hurricane. I lived through hurricane Andrew and let me tell you it's a real life nightmare. They just ordered a curfew for 4 pm and time to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. I know I'll be flying back if need be to help out family and friends rebuild. Now it's time for the waiting game as the 'cane approaches.
