As long as you push forward everything will work out. I graduated in 2008 as a mechanical designer. This was right as the recession hit. No jobs anywhere. Thought I was going to be unemployed for ever. But I pushed forward pivoted to a tech job and everything has worked out. You sound like an intelligent person and while the path might be hard I have no doubt you will make it. Good luck.
