Everyone wishes they had more money. EVERYONE.
We go to work; We work from home. We can’t seem to get ahead. While it’s fair to say prices have gone up over the years, And it can be really hard to make ends meet, We still are breaking one basic principle that is causing us to financially struggle.

Stop Living within your means

While many live “above” their means, You should live below your means to save for your future. People seem to neglect the value of a great savings account or investment.
When people get raises they often start spending more; They upgrade their lifestyle. You were probably excited about that raise you got. But eventually, the novelty wears off when you are back to square one, NOt getting ahead on their long-term financial goals.
Even small amounts 10.00 here, 5.00 there add up. You can put that into an investment account and save it.
With the logic you currently have of constantly upgrading your lifestyle as your income grows, You’ll never be fully happy, and you’ll never be wealthy.

Who Cares About Materialistic Items?

A big reason why I don’t care about the holiday season is the abundance of crap people obsessing over. Many people feel like they need these items to look good, Or feel wanted by others. Sometimes that has to somewhat sacrificed to start saving more.
This obsession is holding you back from financial security.

Make More, To Save More

As you guys know. I went back to UPS. If you read my last posts, I talked about how expensive it is to work at UPS.
If you have a job, It’s sometimes not possible to completely avoid upgrading your lifestyle.
With me working there, I eat a lot more, And I need gloves and other things, But ultimately I’m making profit. Instead of using that extra money to further upgrade my lifestyle, I’m taking all the money I’m making from UPS, and I’m using it as an extra bump in savings and investing.
I work with a lot of people who need UPS for their livelihood. And I used to be one of those people. I can’t even begin to describe the feeling I experience every day, Walking in there. Knowing that I could quit today, Tomorrow, Or 6 months from now. I don’t rely on the money; I don’t need the money. It’s purely extra.
If you can, Take on extra side hustles, Get a part-time job, Or write more on Steemit. Use it to save.

The Feeling Of A Savings

One of my personal goals in life, Is just to be financially secure. Nothing makes me feel better. The hardest part of all this, Is not making money. Most people can pick up odd jobs relatively easy. But it’s how you spend it.
Not spending more, Each time you get that “Raise Or Bonus”. Has a huge impact over time. If you just save it.

Conclusion

I hate it when people make comments at me like “Well, I’m not like you, I can’t invest. I have bills to pay.” Or “You’re Lucky you have money like that to invest.”

Excuse me?

I worked hard for every penny! Assuming that everyone who is doing well, just “magically” got the money, Is only holding you back more.
I don’t care who you are, Take that 5, 10, 20 and save it. It adds up. Instead of watching TV write Steemit posts, Or heck, Get another job.
You are perfectly capable of saving your money! You can do it!
