The issue that caused Bitcoin's value to drop in June/July hasn't gone away. There are opposing opinions in how to proceed, because of inherent issues in the blockchain technology. Opinions within the Bitcoin camp are divided. This issue will be revisited in November. Therefore, are we going to see a re-enactment of the price volatility? I believe we are, since the underlying tensions persist. Until the issue is resolved, there can be no stabilising in the price, or confidence in the market since it affects the pricing of cryptocurrency in general. Bitcoin is quite open about the issues. This means that they are real and constant, and dominating their day-to-day core business. It is a waste of energy - and for this reason, Bitcoin can't go forward. I would proceed with extreme caution. In my opinion, any rise in the price of Bitcoin at the moment looks like a dead cat bounce. They could be famous last words. I sold out of all of my positions on Friday night/Saturday morning - my time, which is Australian EDT - before the general sell-off.
