MWM|| My 2023 Needleworks

Hello, dear and appreciated needleworkers.

We are very close to the end of this year 2023 and it is very nice to look back and see how much we have grown as a community and as artisans, each one in their own specialty.

For my part, I feel very happy and satisfied with all that I was able to learn and grow in knitting. When I organized the photos to make this summary, I could not believe how many things I have knitted this year.
It gave me great joy to realize that most of my blog posts were published on NeedleWorkMonday, doing this allowed me to be much more active within the community to be able to read and support all the other crafters.

Reading your publications inspires me and encourages me to try new techniques and new projects, there are so many things I learn through you. However, I must apologize because there is never enough time to read all of you. Likewise, I really appreciate the love and support you give me through your nice comments. All this makes me always feel loved and supported in this beautiful community.

To participate in the new challenge that our founder crosheille invites us to, today I bring you a summary of everything I was able to knit in this year that is coming to an end soon.

This year there were many projects that I proposed to myself. Some of them I started and brought to a successful conclusion. Some others have been started, but without conclusion for now. And many others I could not even start. However, none of this distresses or worries me, happily this year I was able to understand that it is okay to change your plan halfway, if what you are doing does not make you happy; that perfection does not exist and that it is not necessary to be so rigid and demanding with oneself. Art, in order to be a natural expression, must be spontaneous and artisans work not only with their hands, but also with their hearts.

Among the projects I was most excited about were my collection of wallets made with granny squares, the collection of different granny designs and patterns, and the wide variety of key chains and projects that were made to order.

Each and every one of these projects knows a little about me that no one else knows; each project was made at a different time in my life. Maybe with some of them I was very happy and singing; maybe with some of them I was pensive, meditating or maybe a little sad and with tears in my eyes.

Crochet is my safe haven besides prayer. It is my best therapy for many years, that's why doing this recap and looking at all my projects reaffirmed my love for this wonderful art, which is not only a hobby or a pastime, but it is much more because it gives you the opportunity to create and creativity is a gift from God.

As for my blog, I hope to continue to be very active in the community and share with all of you. I am very excited to participate in all the challenges and contests that NeedleWorkMonday is sure to bring for all of us.
