Blessed day dear and appreciated NeedleWorkMonday colleagues, I wish you a nice weekend. For my part I can say that I have been very busy and entertained knitting new projects; it is amazing all the possibilities that crochet gives us, you can make many beautiful things with just a crochet and a ball of wool.
I continue with my goal of learning how to knit different types of flowers. This time I show you how I made some beautiful flowers with a stitch called: Popcorn stitch or speck stitch. To work these flowers I used different colors of yarn, a triple zero crochet needle and a pair of scissors.
This flower is very simple, but what is new is the popcorn stitch used to make the petals. This is the first time I knit this stitch, I had already heard about it in some tutorials, but I hadn't worked it before, so this seemed like a good opportunity to practice it.
In my case I learned it in the tutorial of this flower, but for the purposes of the publication I preferred to look for a chart where this technique could be better appreciated. Below the image I leave the address of the page where I got the graphic. It is a page where you can find different crochet stitch patterns, the best of all is that the explanation is in Spanish.
FUENTE
The center of the flower is made by knitting 24 high stitches in a magic ring, then start working the 12 petals in popcorn stitch as shown in the pattern. This stitch gives the petals a little relief. This flower pattern is ideal for making sunflowers, but since I no longer had yellow yarn, I decided to work with different colors and this was the result.
Fue un placer para mí compartir nuevamente con ustedes. Gracias por leer, saludos y bendiciones.
I am happy to have learned this new stitch and also this new flower pattern. I am going to use these flowers as appliqués in a new project I have in mind. Likewise, I will continue practicing the popcorn stitch and I will try to use it in new projects so that I don't forget how to do it.
It was a pleasure for me to share with you again. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
