These are the days where Steemit is at a heightened drama level. There has been made an effort to downvote and explain why at the trending page, and the affected have in general been fairly good sports. They had a post they wanted people to see and thy used the promotion available, and then they being listen when the downvotes are explained to them. I will mention @eco-alex who have commented and explained the downvotes on other user bidbot promoted pages afterwards. Very cool, check out his eco-village dreams.
But if you, like @whatsup has done on this page look into the many small profiles that use bidbots all the time you'll find a whole business of posting senseless gibberish and buying votes. This is not people who try to promote perfectly OK posts, this is just plain abuse milking the reward pool.

Take this user: @maykolcontreras - every day he is posting 9-10 posts of nonsensical text with generic pixabay images. Today alone many of the rewards are above 15$.
I saw that one of the posts had already been downvoted by @lays so I threw another 100% downvote on the same post and left a Bidbottophant comment. One hour later both @lay's and my comment were downvoted - no asking why, just a flock of low rep robo-carrions.
Somehow we need to downvote such zombie profiles one at a time. They could loose all their investment in one go if it was done right.
