The movie starts with a young girl playing in the corridor of a submarine. She is a part of the family which has been entrusted with some research work on a submarine. As she plays around, something really terrible and unexpected happens. She is confronted by a massive shark, who tries to attack the little girl. Fortunately, everything is under control and the little girl is safe as she is inside the submarine which is protected by tough glass. The girl immediately informs her parents. Though they don't believe her wholly, they launch a search mission. To their horror, they discover that the massive fish is indeed in there and not just a figment of the imagination of the girl. Captain Jonas Taylor is surprised and shocked to see the shark.
