Walking around in the greens never seizes to amaze me how chill this is. Just taking a random route, take the dog with you, walk until you have no idea where you are anymore and just look around in the mean time.
The woods are at their finest at the moment. Everything is more than green because of the young leaves and finally after a year and a half the soil is dry and there aren't any puddles anymore.
These are the moments where you let the cellphone in the bag because you want to look around. These are the moments where your hearing is slightly more elevated because you want to soak up all of the small critters that are walking around you and jump away when you pass by.
These are the moments where time doesn't really matter because everything that is around is is exactly all you need.
When you walk around every now and then you will find these kinds of piles of wood. Whether these are made by a group of kids that were just collecting wood, or that they were made by the foresters that are preserving the wood in the right places...it doesn't ever really matter.
It looks cool even though it also looks a bit like the Blair Witch Project was recorded at a place like this. I jus thope it isn't recorded in these woods and me and my dog will disappear all of a sudden from thin air.
Admitting, I walk a bit faster past these piles haha. Superstition is also something.
These weeks are a bit busy for me. A ton of stuff to do on work and outside of that, and everything needs to come together at the perfect time.
Walking in the woods gives me a sense of chill of not being able to think about all the stuff that is still on my to do list. I am literally not made for to-do lists, but sometimes this is the way that it is.
You can also see that the critters in the dead trees are working really well. A lot of trees didn't make it inthe wet winter and those trees have died.
The foresters have left the dead wood there for the fungus and bacteria to develop and that is working just fine!
You can see the tree stems falling apart and that life is coming back in. Beautiful stuff is in the beholder of the eye!
Woods are just a fantastic place to be to roam around. Luckily here in the south there are woods everywhere and you have enough options to walk around in.
