Our supermarkets have been seriously emptied by hurricane Irma and the looting afterwards, so any choice on what to eat and drink wasnt really there anymore.
Mostly we have been drinking cheap rum, hotcoldhotcold Heineken (not good for the quality) and since last week some Gin. To be honest, the fact I had access to alcohol at all on a broken island made me feel privileged already. But since this week some containers are arriving, and supermarket are starting to get restocked, so there is a choice!
Meeting up with some friends tonight for games by candlelight, I found this the perfect table beer, a Leffe Blond. Actually I was on the hunt for a Leffe Quadruple....times of scarsity....you catch my drift...
As a Dutchy, belgian beer is for me more of a sunday afternoon drink, so you can chill your butt off afterwards. But hey, we are alive and the time is now!
