We have this little group with a couple of friends where we talk finance and everything that goes with it. Normal stocks (stonks), startups and passive income and the things that often drop by here, but of course also crypto and all the quirks which come with that. It is funny that because of the messages that drop by here, I often turn my vision to projects that I normally would not, and it is always good to broaden the options on this.
And even better, we should talk about these things a bit more in the ‘real world’ and not only through messages, but heck…these times. I am looking forward to having presentations about all of these subjects in a bar again, while all other people there look at us like we are either mad, or on the other hand potentially genius.
The funny thing with these investments is often how slow they also are. I think we all invested in some kind of airplane which will be refurbished and these projects all pay back with a small percentage. Safe but slow. Hardly any risk, but compared to crypto this almost feels slow and boring.
On the other hand we often talk about projects to invest in because they are just stuff we all like. The most returning topic in this is breweries because we all like beer. Startups need some fund to start their project and from there on they pay you back with a small bit of interest, but way cooler is that you are more engaged with this brewery. This all not about big bucks, this is more like 50 bucks here and there to support in a good way and not about making the side buck.
But now we got the message than one of this breweries got liquidated. I didn’t know that it was called like this as well in normal bankruptcies, but boom investment gone. There was a discussion if shareholders get a part back, but honestly I don’t think this will even happen. Bye bye 50 bucks but most of all, bye bye a big dream from all of us to enjoy being a part of a brewery.
Boom, welcome to the land of the liquidations. If it isn’t in crypto land when not fooling around with leverage because that haunts you too much with killing the nights rest, then all of a sudden it still is in stonky land. Getting smarter is never easy, even it is only for only 50 bucks.
