But how is it possible even that I have missed the fact that there is a whole coffee community here on HIVE? Yes, there is BEER, most likely there is wine as well, but hey coffee is one of the most debatable topics as all coffee purists find 'their recipe' the best and will not be ashamed to spread their ideas about it unwanted even when you are enjoying your sip of black gold.
Coffee purists are like crossfitters or ayurveda foodies..you don't ask for the advice, but you always get it without asking.

So last year I was also sucked into the ritual of the black gold and how to make it best. Because the senseopads are so shit and the filtercoffee is always made in a pot and tends to taste so old. You know the excuses the grinders have for this. Good name right? Grinders? But you know what I mean with it right?
Well honestly, I was already happy that I was drinking black coffee with nothing in it. On the Caribbean one of the things we always had was powder coffee, and that my friends, that doesn't go at all without adding cream and sugar just to get it through yout throat without gagging. And you the deal with sugar and stuff, it is addictive so all of a sudden you only like coffee with milk and cream in there.
In general not such a deal, although my Caribbean thighs will disagree on this. So I was trying to cold the milk and sugar and that was quite easy actually. Way easier that I had expected.

I went from having a percolator (If you don't know this on, the image up here is one. It is a Put where you add grinded coffe in the middle piece, water underneith and you put it on the stove. The steam will go through the grinded beans leaving the fluid on top. Pretty neat right?) which give great espresso's but really, really strong ones (not much material for a bigger cup if you ever want to sleep again), to enjoying the easy of a nespresso thingy device!
Not cheap but extremely convenient, especially since you can get the cups now everywhere for quite reasonable prices. I went from a grinder-strong-which-clenches-the-cheecks to I-dont-care-...it-s-just-convient-nespresso. And the cool thing is, there are so many flavors in the cups. Because yeah, the grinder-squad will say that only pure coffee is good, but having a caramel or a vanilla one every now and then hasn't killed anybody. Yummie!
I still want to go to a barista course to acually get the nitty critty and act like an all-knower about coffee myself. But better said, I want to know how I can make my coffee better and then spread the word.
Ow crap..did I now just turn into that person?
