I took a walk through Grotto Canyon this morning. Just outside the town of Canmore, Alberta, Canada.
It's a popular trail, being near town and not much elevation gain makes it more suitable for many people. In the Spring its a roaring creek running with...
melt water. The smooth cliff walls are evident of this.
Ice cliff climbers are always here, and a thrill to watch, but not really on my to do list...lol
I hiked about 2 miles past the canyon section to the opening, but no one had gone this far lately and the snow was not packed down at all. I would really need a pair of snowshoes to travel any farther up the mountain.
