Hello Hivers
Welcome to #wednesdaywalk with thanks to @tattoodjay
I took this walk along Hoodoo Trail. A Hoodoo is a geological formation where a layer at the top is harder then the lower layer. The lower layer erodes more quickly and these towers (Hoodoos) are formed.
They occur all over the world, more often in arid desert areas.
This trail is on Tunnel Mountain in Banff National Park. It is very popular being near the town site as well as not being overly strenuous, the town has placed barriers and benches to accommodate the large numbers of visitors.
The scenery is spectacular and a nice walk, I like visiting in the Winter when there are only ...
a few people on the trail.
There are some great views of the Bow River Valley and the large Fairmont Hotel in the
far distance.
Thanks for enjoying my walk with me.
