Ketli Tea Bar review - Evening tea with family in a new city
Today is India's Independence Day and India is also celebrating a festival called Rakshbandhan - a festival that celebrates Brother Sister relationship.
To celebrate the occasion, I drove down to Pune. My sister lives here and Parents also happened to be there.
After spending sometime at my sister's house in Pune, my sister, my wife and I came down to Kumar Pacific Mall to shop and sat down at Ketli.
Ketli means Kettle. It looked like a nice tea shop. We quite like the jute chairs and the exclusive tea menu.
We ordered 2 Masala Teas and Adrak Chai, with coconut cookies and Paneer Tikka Sandwich.
The sandwich was really good. Anyway, its not about the sandwiich.
I have already said the decor was cool. For a group of 3 to 4, the table and chair setup gives personal space, feels spacious and comfortable.
The tea was milky and well cooked. Yes, tea is cooked. English Breakfast Tea or teabag tea is a kind of tea but its not Chai. Ginger and Masala was nice and made the tea better.
The extra mathri or round crackers that came with tea and sandwich was good and welcome.
The tea was a little sweet. But that's ok. The company made overall experience 5 star.
5 star for tea and 4.5 for the place. For 50 rupees this was brilliant tea. Overall bill was also reasonable.
