The summer season was a little longer this year but now I'm back to my indoor garden. Above, a delicate flower on my Christmas cactus. This is the end of its flowering period which is roughly November and February at my house.

These are a couple of plants that I brought in from the garden. On the left is a Thai basil that was slightly touched by the frost and that's the Rosemary on the right.

Not so pretty to look at is another Thai Basil that I dried. I'm midway through harvesting the leaves.

Having found the perfect spot to overwinter my Fuchsia last year, I'm going to see if it will live through another winter. It became a little lopsided sitting on the dresser and growing towards the window so I'm trying it on a stool in the center. The Fuchsia was actually several plants and...

...the one on the dark side of the pot died so I have rooted its replacement.

This Geranium cutting is a descendant of the one that came into my family in 1969-1970. I'm so cautious with it that when I put 3 of them outside for the summer, I keep one inside for me, just in case. This is a spare that I can give away.

Here are the rest of the Geraniums with the Hibiscus. You can't tell but they all had haircuts in September. I can tell -- it was a jungle in there.

The Amaryllis spent 9 months in storage when I was away in 2020 so I'm still building up the bulb so it will flower again.

This is the only plant I have purchased for indoors since my trip in 2020. Ivies do well here and they wrap all around the baker's rack that it's sitting on.

This is the Avocado at eye height AGAIN!

I may have saved the best until last...

IMG_1821s.JPG

I have two orchids and I'm trying to remember when one of them wasn't blooming. I know I posted about them in July and I was surprised this one was still blooming then.

IMG_1848s.JPG

I really thought this was the last flower and I kept thinking I was going to miss it. If you scroll back to the photo of the Avocado, you can see the beautiful filtered light, really the ideal conditions for orchids.

Then one day I had a surprise! From a few little bumps, some more buds grew. This one is an older photo.

And some photos from this week.

A closeup from the other side.

This was a short update on the plants that are doing something. There isn't much happening with my big ones right now. Thank you for visiting!
