@thaiteam. Macro photography is quite a difficult subject for me as my iPhone is not very fast. Taking macro photographs of insects meant that I had to get very close to the insect without frightening it away before I could get a good focus. So, most of the photos turned out blurred as the insect started moving away from my range. Besides, I had to depend on lucky chance for stumbling on an insect around the house. Normally, the insects I happened to see on the floor or table were often too exhausted to fly in the strong wind or injured during its journey. Here are some of the insects I found around the house after a windy storm.
I have no idea about the name of this insect as this was the first one that turned up in my garden. I have noticed that there were less insects around these days; it could be because local villages had been using chemical pesticides when planting their corn fields. I had to help this insect back on the tree by using a leaf as his transport!
เราสังเกตว่าปัจจุบันเราเจอแมลงปีกแข็งน้อยมากในสวน ไม่เหมือนสมัยก่อนที่จะมีแมลงนานาชนิดแวะเวียนมาให้เราได้เห็น เรามักจะเจอแมลงที่หลงทางหลังพายุฝนที่มีลมแรง แมลงมักจะบาดเจ็บหรือหลงทางเพราะโดนลมหอบมา ถ้าเราไปเจอแมลงที่พื้นก่อนแมว เราจะช่วยเอาแมลงนั้นไปเกาะที่ต้นไม้ในที่สูง อย่างน้อยมันจะได้ปลอดภัยจากการโดนเหยียบและจากแมว แมลงปีกแข็งตัวนี้แปลกดี เราก็พึ่งเคยเห็นเป็นครั้งแรก เราเอาใบไม้มาให้มันเกาะก่อนเอาไปไว้บนกิ่งไม้ ตัวนี้คงรอดชีวิตแล้ว มันมาตัวเดียวโดดๆ แมลงที่มาตกหล่นที่บ้านมักจะหลงทางมาตัวเดียวเสมอ
This beetle was found on the floor after another rain storm. It looked quite exhausted by its journey across the fields. We would come across a few of these beetles every year. I had to rescue this chap before my cats came too close.
The last one was not so lucky, It was injured during the flight; he was missing one leg. This was my first brown thin insect; he looked very fragile. I wondered where were all his friends and relatives. I thought insects travel in packs or swarms for safety. The five or six geckos around the house would be out during the night hunting for insects. That was probably why we did not see so many insects during daytime.
บางครั้งเราจะเจอด้วงปีกแข็งสีดำปีละประมาณห้าตัว เราคิดว่าพวกมันคงถูกลมพัดมาจากทุ่งหญ้าที่อยู่ไม่ไกลนัก มันคงมึนมากเพราะไม่มีแรงขยับตัวนัก เราก็ต้องพาไปส่งที่ต้นไม้อีกแล้ว
ส่วนแมลงตัวหลังสุดนี่แปลกตามาก เราไม่เคยเห็นตัวสีน้ำตาลแบบนี้มาก่อน ท่าทางมันมีสติว่อวำวดี มันหันมามองหน้าเราด้วย เราก็รีบพามันไปไว้ที่กิ่งไม้เหมือนเดิม แมวของเราชอบตามมาดูว่าเรามีอะไรอยู่ในมือ แมลงพวกนี้โชคดีมากที่เรามาเจอก่อนแมว ตอนกลางคืนตุ๊กแกสี่ถึงห้าตัวจะออดมาหากินรอบๆบ้าน เราคิดว่านี่อาจเป็นสาเหตุว่าเราไม่ค่อยเจอแมลงในตอนเช้าหลังพายุฝนเท่าไรนัก ธรรมชาติมีวงจรชีวิตที่ซับซ้อนเกินความเข้าใจของเรา เราเองอยากให้มีแมลงมากมายหลายชนิดในสวน โดยเฉพาะอยากให้ผึ้งมาทำรังบนต้นไม้ใหญ่ให้ดูเล่นบ้าง
