A couple of weeks back, we were invited to taste Durians. And no less, it was the King of the King of Fruits, the Musang King. This is apparently of the highest quality and can be really expensive. But of course, with the pandemic prices have dropped drastically. But nevertheless, we thought, hey FREE, let's go, and besides, it was in the neighbourhood.

So The Hubs and I went, and as soon as we walked in, we knew we were in for a pitch. Yes, it was an investment plan. The returns weren't much and it is overtime. It's quite funny because when I went to check it out online, someone had popped in and said, invest in Bitcoin!!

Anyways, fast forward to last Monday, we thought we'd take a drive to the farm since they were having some annual celebration where all owners are invited for a Durian Party.

We were late and missed the party. No complaints. Apparently there were like close to 200 people. Errrrr. We were good to go after the crowd had dispersed.

So, we got there around 6pm. Walked around a little, took pictures, ate some durians and came right back. But guess, what?! The car broke down just outside the farm. So, we were stuck for a good 3 hours waiting for the tow truck. And then we set in the car on the tow truck all the way back which was a 3-hour drive.

You must be wondering if we invested - yes... just one tree. We invested RM14,888 with returns of around RM80k minimum over the next 13 years. We own a Durian Tree - for 13 years at least - then we have to sell it back to them for RM1. So here's to the tree fruiting abundantly!!

So, that's the story of our little trip to the durian farm. Thank you for dropping in.
