I landed near an abandoned building with some alien eggs scattered around. I would never mess with those eggs. Last time I did it in normal mode, monsters broke out of them to kill me. I'm not going to risk that in permadeath mode.

I find the best way to deal with those is to open an egg, grab whats inside, then jump onto the roof and start shooting the monsters. Remaining monsters will go away after a minute or so, then you do it all over again with another egg! 😁 Those things are good money.
