After the unfortunate deaths of Alluri Ona the First, Second, Third, AND Fourth within a grueling 24 hours... well, 16 hours if you exclude the Sleeping Hours... I was seriously burnt out on Path of Exile.
Fast forward nearly three weeks and I spent yet another entire day embedded in it. 😅
Alluri Ona the Successor was born in a mere softcore Blight game. Her sole intention to rescue the Scion and complete Act 3. As of writing this, she is level 39 and once more I am marvelling at how fast people were levelling back on that fateful day. 😱
You people are bonkers! How on earth do you level so quickly? Tell me your secrets.
I chose to play in Blight rather than Standard because I really enjoyed the tower defense addition in this current league a few weeks ago, so thought I'd continue on enjoying it!
Unfortunately Alluri Ona the Successor was not quite as fortunate as her predecessors. Two of her four predecessors found legendary wands hidden amongst the blistering pustules that Sister Cassia gleefully popped.
This one, to be exact:
It wasn't until the newest Alluri Ona headed into the Labrynth that a legendary finally decided to drop. And. It was a bow. And by the looks of it, a pretty useless bow at that. I don't know. Maybe it's actually pretty good? But that 0 physical damage puts me off... maybe for an archer lightning witch? Can you do that?
Probably.
There's so much I don't know about this game.
Many, many hours passed by.
Many.
I occasionally pulled myself up from the couch to forage in the pantry, to make lunch and dinner, to read books and put my son to bed, when finally... at about 8:30pm... after an entire day of staring at flying fireballs and bulbous pustules... and giving up on the Labrynth for now because I just wanted to free the damn Scion... it finally happened...
FREEEEEEEDOM!!
Now that this wench has found freedom, I like to think that the game will allow me the honour of being able to start a Solo Self Found character.
Step TWO involves finally trying out the other classes and getting used to other abilities and playstyles. Maybe realising that I really like that big brutish barbarian or an assassin or something.
I may not win the next race, but I want to actually have a character still alive and kicking at the end. 😅
On that note, here is my newest favourite bit of dialogue:
