Polish prosecutors confiscated Bitfinex's accounts. Poland, in the Cooperative Bank in Skierniewice, confiscated a money of 400 million euros, which is reported to be connected to the crypto money market, Bitfinex. A local news bulletin reporting the investigation on April 6 allegedly depends on Colombian drug carton operations. The report has not been officially approved by Bitfinex or has not been rejected.
Polish prosecutors expand investigation
It is said that the funds received correspond to the fraud of 400,000 euros from the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the construction of the embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Prosecutors are investigating accounts linked to two companies. The first company, Pruszkow, is licensed and managed by someone who is in charge of Canada-Panama. It is alleged that the second company is run by a man who is a Colombian and Panamanian citizen. Both companies are said to have invested PLN 1.27 billion ($ 371 million) in their accounts.

This is the second account reported to be connected to bitfinex. By the end of 2017, online publications show that Bitfinex leads customers in an account at the Cooperative Bank in Skierniewice. A Bitfinex user claimed to have been interrogated by the Polish police last week in the Polish forum Bitcoin.pl and said:
I testified as a witness to the Crypto sp z oo case. Because I sent money from Bitfinex and my accounts were blocked.
