The Merlion is a national icon of Singapore, and also the unofficial mascot. It's a beautiful mythical creature that has the body of a fish and the head of a lion. We got to encounter this impressive beast on several occasions and in various forms during our trip, i.e. they were in the form of large statues and also as small souvenirs.
In the above pictures, you can see some nice little Merlion statues in vivid attractive colors, and there is also a version in the form of a coin bank.
I purchased a few different varieties to gift it to my friends!
