Last night talking to people on Hive Thrive, I realize about a sort of fantastic business model. This is not a brand new idea as it has come up a few times in the past. Crypto since the very start was done for Internet micropayments, as Bitcoin and others allows you to send fractions of fractions of pennies. Before you get on me on, yeah but the fees? Most altcoin chains like BCH, LTC, or chains like Hive allows you to send 0.0001 USD without any fees.
Using this "Superpower" we can monetize what other people seems too cheap to monetize. The internet at the moment is quite expensive, AI imposed a $20 USD on everyone that wanted to use their services. Everything audio AI to video AI to image AI to any other service almost by default want their $20 USD. On top of that, they rather charge you a whole year in advanced.
The model of a Subscription or lump sum payment for a whole year in advance. Here is where the opportunity arises. If we look at these providers as a wholesalers, we can resell this for individual users on a per-needed basis. This will allow us to use the technology for fraction of a subscription or else.
So picture only paying for ElevenLabs or Suno one time, for one use. Or get a specific clip translated and never have to go back and only pay the specific spent tokens. If it only took 400 tokens, you paid it on Hive for that specific 5 minute of video.
So why would a company do that?
Not everyone want the obligation to use a tool; another reason is that maybe, this is just a special occasion, and not their day job. They don't have any more product to create.
You also don't want to overpay, meaning, you don't want to buy 100 tokens for something that will only take 20.
Will this bring new users to the platform?
One of the biggest challenges in crypto is add utilization, and if we can reuse the tools that are currently being demanded, it will definitely bring a lot of utilization to the platform. This will make people demand the token and hopefully see a lot of new money into the platform.
