Butterflies are a type of insect with winged scales and pterons that have different colors with the beauty of various color variations.
Butterflies are winged insects that have a perfect metamorphosis from laying eggs and hatching into caterpillars, then turning into cocoons to become perfect and very beautiful adult butterflies.
The excellent development of butterflies is sensitive to the ultraviolet spectrum,because the eyes of butterflies have thousands of hexagonal lenses that make the vision of the butterfly very sharp.
Butterfly habitats can be found in a variety of different climate environments. They can be found in the tropics, gardens, rivers, swamps, grasslands, agricultural land and forests, basically, wherever there are plants and flowers. Butterflies feel the air for aroma, use their antennae as signals to look for nectar, and some foods also come from pollen, rotting fruit, tree sap, dirt and minerals dissolved in wet sand. Antennas are in various shapes and colors. Butterflies play an important ecological role as pollinators, because butterflies are the second largest pollinator in the world after Bees.
The average life span for an adult butterfly is only 20 to 40 days. The minimum life span of a butterfly is as little as 3 or 4 days. The maximum life span of a butterfly is 6 months.
