Hoy, durante un pequeño paseo quise capturar con el lente de mi humilde pero fiel celular algunas plantas que me parecieron especialmente brillantes. Today, during a short walk, I wanted to capture some plants that struck me as especially vibrant with the camera on my humble but trusty cell phone. I believe that every plant—even if it doesn’t meet the standards of beauty and health needed to stand out from the rest—deserves all the care and attention given to an “almost perfect” one, even if it doesn’t bear fruit. Of course, this belief certainly applies to human beings as well.

It happens to me very often (and I really don’t know if it’s because in the country where I live there are too many people who believe that you are what you look like, or if the world in general is just full of people with this belief), and that is, I see how people are looked down upon just for not wearing completely clean clothes or for being in a place that doesn’t seem 100 percent clean, even if they aren’t there permanently—like waiting for a bus or for someone on a slightly dirty street corner.
Of course, I can't overlook how comforting it is to watch these people, with their preference for appearances, come face-to-face with another of life's most important rules: “All that glitters is not gold.”
