The next day of our Carnaza Island adventure was a bit hazy to me. I cannot remember all too well because I had a really bad hangover (we had a few drinks and I guess I drank more than a few). I woke up early in the morning to witness the sunrise, and to look aimlessly at the calm splash of the waves. I also did not get enough sleep because I was uncomfortable, but it was fine.
Good thing, some of my friends were already awake and they already prepared hot water for our early morning coffee. Just imagine, you waking up by the sea and just enjoying your hot coffee. Oh what an experience I’d love to have every day.
The girls were assigned to cook viand, while the boys were assigned to clean and cook rice. I also had an early swim, and we found “lukot” seaweed also tagged us noodles of the sea and “lato”, grapes of the sea.
After we finished our breakfast, we headed back to their downtown area to rent the boat we used last time, and this time, all my friends are going. So we borrowed another “bangka” with no vessel in it and tied it to the main boat.
Here are some snaps we took during the island tour. ✨
Our initial plan was just to tour around the island again, but we found this beautiful place on the island and decided to just stay there for a few hours and swim. Just look at how jaw-dropping this place is.
When we got exhausted and fully satisfied, we headed back to our camp because we were famished and we wanted to play cards.
Then we started swimming again but we carried this big ass umbrella for the shed 🤣. We also got to meet some kids who are living on the island.
You know what they say, “Friends who travel together, stay together". Well, if you are wondering who this guy is on the printed picture that we were holding, he is one of our friends. He also graduated from College as Marine Engineering. Unfortunately, his parents did not allow him to go with us. And because we don’t want him to feel separated from this trip, we decided to print a picture of him and include him in our selfies. Clever, right?
“I have found out that there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.”
-Mark Twain-
Every time I look at these pictures, I would always laugh hysterically. You wanna know why? This entire trip made them realize how much they have this love-and-hate relationship with each other. Here’s a little background as to how they ended up having a childish catfight.
On our last night on the island, we decided to play a truth or dare game. This is where things got a little bit awkward. We were having a friendly debate when two of them were suddenly fighting? I think their supposed-to-be-friendly argument got a little tense when one of them disagreed with someone’s opinion. The shocking part was when the two of them were throwing sands at each other and we had no other choice but to separate them both. Don’t worry, they also reconciled the next morning because they were reprimanded like pitiful cats.
The next morning, we packed our things early because we will hitch a ride home for free which is awesome! We were heavily exhausted and we just want to lay flat on our comfortable bed.
If you are one of those people looking for a sign to get away from the city together with your friends and think about life. This is it! Go and plan that trip already! 😎
Thank you for reading this post! Stay awesome!
