There is something very satisfying about throwing rocks. The physical grasp of the rock in your hand, the extension of your arm back and then hurling it with all your might! Well at least that's the way we do it ☺️💪 #momofboys
I took the boys down to the end of our street where there's an empty lot. We discovered this concrete deck/seawall hidden by overgrown weeds. It's perfect for throwing rocks into the canal. Sure we're trespassing, but no one minds. I think the people in my neighborhood like to see my boys out and active all the time. Too many kids stay inside all day.
The weather was sunny today, but it was about 50° F (10°C). That may not sound cold to you, but we are warm-blooded native Floridians! It doesn't get much colder in Southwest Florida!!
I get anxious when the kids get too close to the edge. It's like a churning in the bottom of my stomach. I take a deep breath and overcome my urge to pull them back. I'm a believer in letting my kids learn their limits by trial and error.
Wyatt is 3 years old and incredibly curious. He saw his own reflection in the water and thought it was the greatest thing. He asked me why the water is so dark. We had a conversation about depth and I explained what brackish water is. He concluded that he doesn't want to go in that water 👍👍 smart boy ☺️
Thanks for reading my post! Happy Steeming!
