When the Hive chain was launched Friday I happened to be nearly powered down in my Steem account. I never had much Steem and so it really isn't a financial or investing venture for me at all. I increased my Steem amount from approximately 200 Steem to over 1,700 in the course of 2 years (since March 2018). I did this through posting and being active in the community.
As a result of the power down I was left with nearly 1,500 liquid Hive. As soon as I publish this post I'll be powering up 1,000 Hive. I'm keeping the extra 500 liquid for now in case I want to do trade for BTC in the next few weeks.
I'm eager to see what becomes of this place, and so to show support for the work that was done I'm vesting the majority of my share.
