Hello everyone in the hive blockchain. I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the weather wherever you are. Welcome to my blog.
Hate is a very strong word. Most times I hold myself from using this word because I feel it is “too bad”. Even though hate is an extremely strong word, it is the right word to use for some things and even for people. Love is the opposite of hate. Love is a very clean virtue. The cleanest of them all. Love alone can thaw out an iced heart. I've been told so many times that I shouldn't use the word hate (because it is a bad word) and that I should use the word “love” instead. How do you expect me to use the word “love” for something or someone I don't like?
I have a very solid and nice relationship with my mom. Although I don't tell her everything (I like to keep secrets and solve things on my own) I tell her everything a mother should know about her child. She feels I don't tell her enough, she's always telling me to open up to her. Every time I use the word “Hate”. Like anytime I say “I hate this person” she flares up and quotes sayings from the Bible.
The world is a beautiful place. For real, life is beautiful, but humans have made it hell. A dangerous place to live. A very dangerous place indeed. The world prowls with different people; with different characters. Sadly, those with bad characters are taking over the world.
I said earlier that hate is a very strong word and I hold myself from using it. The fact is, no matter how hard I try to let go, I'll always hate that thing or ~that person~ with a bad character.
MY MOST HATED THING

ENTITLED PEOPLE. I hate them. Have you ever met someone that feels like you owe them? Have you ever met someone that feels like they deserve a spot or share of what you possess because they are your friend or family? Have you ever met someone with self-confidence that should benefit from what you've worked for ? your hard-earned sweat?
It is so annoying and disgusting to have to deal with entitled people. Like, back off! I worked on this and I decided whether to give it to you or not. The feeling of entitlement has enrooted in people’s blood. They've gotten so used to it that it became a part of them.
One of the primary causes of the sense of entitlement is bad parenting. Parents have a big role to play in forming a child's life. The first set of people a child gets used to is the parents, especially the mother. This is why they should do everything to make sure they bring the child up in the right way.
Parents should make sure they don't give their children literally everything they ask for. For example, if a child wants candy, it is okay if his mother gets it for him. The next minute, he asks for another candy, a bigger one. The next minute, he asks for a two-colored candy. Or he keeps asking for different toys or something. Parents shouldn't say “yes” to everything their kids ask for. If they do, then they're spoiling the child, and it's only a matter of time before he starts exhibiting that bad behavior outside.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH ENTITLED PEOPLE
I have lots of experience with entitled people. From close friends, friends, and even relatives. Entitled people always feel they own a share in whatever it is they want to have. If I work for something, don't I have every right over it?
My mom is a very nice person. The nicest person I know. She has a good heart, which makes it difficult for her to say no when people ask her for help. It got to a point where people started taking her for granted. My mom can sacrifice her last card just to take care of another person and till today that is what I call her “weak point” although she doesn't see it as her weak point, she sees it as something normal.
Growing up, I watched as my mom took care of her younger brother and his kids (my cousins). Her elder brother also works, but most times he comes to my mom for help. It got to a point where it became a regular routine for him to come to my mom for every slight thing. My dad was worried about it. In fact, my siblings and I were also worried because it was starting to affect us. My dad would advise my mom every day, but all his words fell on deaf ears.
Her younger brother would run to my mom asking her to pay for his child's school fees, feeding her with different lies, and my mom would innocently fall for his lies. The straw that broke the camel's back was when my sister gained admission into a private university. Her school fees were pretty expensive and she had to pay for lots of stuff. My mom and dad contributed and got the money ready.
The next day her brother came running, knocking hard on the door. He asked my mom to give him 500 thousand nairas (about 1,100 dollars), saying he wants to buy a piece of land to start his own building. My mom was surprised and angry at the same time. Her facial expression could tell it all. She refused blatantly, that was what triggered the day’s “action movie”.
Her brother started shouting, saying my mom is a selfish woman that doesn't want the best for him. He started banging on our gate and causing a ruckus. For real, he was behaving like a lunatic that just got out of a mental home. We had no choice but to arrest him because he started destroying things.
The funny and most annoying thing about entitled people is how they flare up when they don't get what they want. So annoying!
I have lots of experience with entitled people. Friends that want you to do something for them for free or give them something (what to sell) for free because they “are your friends' . Just because you're my friend doesn't mean you shouldn't pay for the goods you bought or the service I rendered.
There you have it. My most hated thing is entitled people. They say one man's food is another man's poison. I don't know if others feel comfortable around entitled people, but as for me, it is a No-No.
