Middle government media "Bitcoin, blocking can not be a fundamental solution"
China 's official media The Global Times has published an editorial on the need to allow some degree of bit coin, and attention is focused on possible policy changes.
"There is a consensus that blocking bit coins can not be the ultimate solution to the cryptography problem," the Global Times, the English sisterhood newspaper of the People's Daily, said in an editorial on Thursday (October 30) It would be a more fundamental approach to embrace this new technology in a way that does not exist. "
At present, China has banned all activities related to coin currency, including coin transactions. However, even after the enforcement of the ban, there was no hopeful rumor in the industry regarding policy mitigation.
In fact earlier this year, people from the People's Bank met with key cipher executives such as Huobi, and it began to rumor that it was a sign of resumption of the exchange.
According to the Global Times, "Chuo Chief Operating Officer (COO) denied the rumor, but as the Chinese economy turned to innovation, the industry is constantly talking about the revival of bitcoin trading." .
The Global Times says that cigarettes are branded as "bubbles" because of price volatility, but "prohibiting the exchange can not effectively prevent bitcoin transactions, and fear of bubbles will ultimately lead to China taking the digital monetary revolution "He said.
"We need to devise rules and regulations that will make technological progress a boost to the economy," he added. "Now it's time to lay the foundations for regulation to emerge as a future digital money pioneer."
Meanwhile, Professor Panos Mourdoukoutas, a Columbia University professor, commented, "This is a signal that China is liberalizing its digital monetary tightening and considering regulations such as the US, Japan and South Korea."
"If this is true, the price of the coin will rise," he said in a Forbes article on Monday. "It's clear that regulation is better than banning coin altogether."
Professor Mudokutas said, "Competing currencies such as bit coins threaten the political system for the Chinese government to completely control the banking system, but pushing the beat coin all the way is pushing innovation," he said. It is in a state of urgency to innovate in order to be a "big leap forward" in development.
He added, "We will not be surprised if China's bit coin ban is lifted in the near future."
