Hello everbody,

These are hopia. Hopia is made of thin flaky pastry traditionally filled with mung bean paste and this ube or purple yam is my fave for snacks or merienda - a light afternoon meal eaten between breakfast and lunch or between lunch and dinner.

Everytime we travel South, we pass by the place named Tanawan, still here in our City and we stop on this store to buy hopia and buko juice or young coconut juice.

Hubby choose the fresh coconut where the store owner cut the coconut in half then extract the coconut water and the coconut meat.

While, me, I choose the ready made coconut juice with milk and sugar which they placed on a plastic container where they place in an ice bucket, so it is a cold refreshing drink.

Here our driver, my son, let me snapped him posing with the coconuts.

For me my merienda is complete with this food. I can devour all hopia in the box in our travel, I do love the taste and I do not give to hubby even he ask me. I just tell him it is a no no food for him because it is too sweet, hahaha, just my reason because I want it all!

Thanks for dropping by...
