I was too happy last night about that one client I sent a proposal to in onlinejobs.ph platform, that I almost forgot about my other scheduled interview last night for a different client.
This seems like a "when-it-rains-it-pours" scenario.
I do hope at least one of these clients who shortlisted me, will hire me for the job, eventually. Fingers crossed!
The first one was quite unintended.
I was already lying in bed when a calendar alarm popped up on my mobile phone. It was a good thing, I was still tinkering on my social media accounts, then.
When I checked the reminder, it was about 30 minutes before the interview would take place. I hurriedly stood up, combed my hair and put on a little powder on my face and a lip tint. I was fortunate enough that the client did a Skype call only and no videos. Otherwise, she'd witness someone unprepared and a bit horrible to look at.
I took note that I had another scheduled interview from another client whom I found on indeed.com.
It was supposed to be at 2pm on June 17, but they moved it to June 16 at 7pm Philippine time. I made sure I got the correct timezone. So that, at 3pm, I decided to iron my hair so I would look and feel comfortable during the interview.
At 6:45, I changed my sleeveless shirt into a more decent one. Put on powder on the face and some lip tint. Again.
Come 7:01, the client messaged me on Skype. We had a few exchange of greetings and then our conversation went on. I tried to get myself ready in case he'd call for the interview. I was waiting so long but our q and a's were moving smoothly as well. Then, I finally concluded that the interview does not require any videos nor call at all. It was a chat interview.
I was not given prior notice. The point person who set up the interview said that the CEO would call me, but still I like how it came about because chatting was much more comfortable for me rather than talking, all the more with video.
Of course, I felt relieved because I won't have to talk to him face to face. Then, the chat went on for about 40 minutes or so.
At this point, please wish me more luck so I could finally land at least one of these work-from-home gigs.
