What's up, friends?
The other day I was walking down a street and found this park half abandoned. I say half because on other occasions I have seen it clean, with people living there, taking their children to play or spending time with their partners.
It is normal for this to happen during the rainy season. People do not see much benefit in cutting the grass in one place if the following week it will be the same size again. It is a question of practicality and reducing costs, in my opinion.
After taking these photos, I left them saved on the computer. Today I sat down to edit them after returning from work. I wanted to test how they would look in black and white and I admit that I didn't like all of them. So, I left both versions so you could appreciate them as well.
This park reminds me of the one next to the school where I studied. Not so much because I played there during my childhood, but because it was one of the escape routes that my classmates and I used the most - during high school - when we didn't want to watch classes and we would escape to go play in an Internet cafe.
Although back then we called it "the internet", even though hardly anyone surfed the net and we were more into playing games than anything else. We were very lazy teenagers. Sometimes I wonder how we managed to graduate.
A veces me pregunto cómo conseguimos graduarnos.
For this photographic exercise, I focused on capturing the most representative objects of the park, such as the benches, the wheel, the swings and the slides. It's a small park, so there wasn't much to do. The other idea was to capture the weeds growing between them. I liked the results. Thanks for watching and reading.
