When I was traveling through the beautiful city of Medellín I made good friendships with the Paisas (it was used in Colombia to refer to the local name), and when I asked about tourist sites, some named me the botanical park, others the barefoot park but everyone told me about the Rock of Guatapé, to hear of the wonderful stories of that site do not hesitate to think about going to see the famous stone. Already way to the place from the distances of can see the greatness of the stone, it seemed something incredible, when arriving is very remarkable the great amount of tourists of different countries in the same adventure. Here I start to warm my legs to prepare to climb to the top, I can not imagine how the rock was climbed without stairs, you could say that it was someone very risky who did it.
Before climbing you can observe the characteristics of the rock and the rules to be met.
The height is more than 200 meters and there are 659 steps, but for me I'm not used to using stairs, it seems that there were 1,000 steps that I climbed to get to the top, on the way you see people sitting on the steps taking a second air to follow, others fail to reach and return, but every time I climbed a step the view was much more beautiful.
After so many steps I reached the top, with a dry throat I went to buy a drink and they recommended me a beer, but I took 5 to refresh myself. After a few minutes of rest I looked around and saw that everything that I had been told about the Rock was true, it is completely a paradise, I would use all the qualifying terms to describe this place. See the calm waters of the river from the heights and that the wind rose your face, really is priceless.
After admiring for so long the beautiful landscape between the restaurant to eat, the site has a great view of the entire horizon where you can see a good part of the river.
Going to Guatapé was one of the best moments of my life, knowing, seeing and enjoying such beauty in one place makes these memories unforgettable, although climbing those stairs is somewhat exhausting, it is worth striving to reach the top and spend a beautiful day, I think I'm not the only one who has gone and does not want to stay and live in that place ...
