Today, however, as at all times, the topic of spiritual quest is deeply and unjustifiably mystified. Some well-known researchers of this issue put forward the assumption that this is done intentionally - in order to protect sacred truths from the crowd, which is not ready for them and may accidentally get hurt.
But these researchers themselves seem to be prone to some kind of mystification, because this phenomenon can be given a much simpler explanation, and the old principle of Occam's razor, proven in battle, requires him to prefer it. Truth, like everything precious, beautiful and inaccessible, easily becomes the subject of cheap imitations, and it is in such a counterfeit form that it acquires mystical or even occult features.
The truth itself is simple and concrete, and its comprehension does not require any magical rituals, religious services, or even spiritual practices — all of these are only shamanistic dances around the car in the hope that it will start and go from this. Will not start and will not go! God does not need religion, this religion needs God. Truth does not need spiritual traditions; these spiritual traditions need truth.
Dancing with a tambourine will not help - only a key inserted in the right place and turned in the right direction will help. That is what the real task of spiritual search is to find the key and figure out what to do with it, and not waste time and energy not learning the new, more correct and effective shamanistic steps.
And worst of all, when tambourines and dances are accepted for the key they are looking for, attempts to understand the very essence of spiritual work then stop, because it seems that everything is already clear - you just have to keep praying, you just have to keep meditating, you just have to keep waiting. Until the cancer on the mountain whistles ...
