KN Milk Tea By The Beach with Family for Hearts' Day!

I was reminded of a draft I had saved on Valentines Day. I checked my drafts section and found it, I don't want to delete it so I am sharing this here today. This happened on Hearts' Day, I treated my family milk teas and we went to the beach - a Valentine date with the family!

It was just a normal day to start with. I remember reading a lot of sweet posts and photos of my friends online. My husband and I don't celebrate this event plus he has work on that day so I was okay spending the day at home when my brother suggested we go out to the beach so the kids could play. I agreed and had the idea of having milk teas at the beach! I thought it would be cool so we packed things lightly, headed to KN Tea shop and Snack Bar.

This is a newly opened milk tea shop, just had their grand opening a few days ago and since it's the newest in town, we decided to get our milk tea from here. We were 11 adults, two toddlers, and two kids. I went in to check the place together with my mother.

The shop is just small but it has seats and tables available for diners. The design was just simple too - white wall with some black doodles, the furniture are all black including the hanging lights and counter.

There were also hanging plastic flowers with neon orange and green colors, for me, it didn't suit well to the design of the shop, I would suggest though that they take it out, opps! I mean it really, but I am guessing they will put up more decorations soon. This was just the start. We will see by next month.

There were many customers actually, some were dining in, some were outside waiting. I had to wait for these two below to finish their orders.

It was my turn and I found they got a special offer for Valentine's Day. It's a buy one large red velvet latte and get one medium of any milk tea flavors for only Php 143. Oh well, I thought this is a good option since I will be buying 11 cups!

In total, I should have paid only around Php 800+ for six sets but decided to get another so I paid a total of Php 1001, my budget was just enough, well, it was even more than enough!

The cafe offers free candies while waiting. I also checked their kitchen and it's just a small one but enough for the crew to work on. I had been thinking of opening a milk tea shop too but I am still negotiating it with a friend who owns one in Moalboal. I want a cafe which accepts cryptocurrency as payments. I guess there's no cafe or restaurant yet in the province that offers such so it would be a cool payment option. Plus, there are increasing number of individuals in our town who are now aware of some crypto like SLP, AXS, and such. It will also be a good way of marketing Hive and to onboard new users. I am really excited about this plan.

It took awhile for our orders to be served. There were three crews in the cafe and I could say that they work faster than that of the other cafes in our town. I guess there are now six milk tea shops now in our little town and so far, based on my experience, this new one serves much faster than the others.

When the first three red velvet latte were ready, I asked to take a photo of them and the crew agreed.

As soon as the milk teas were all ready, we stopped by a bakery for bread and headed to Flower Beach, this is our go-to beach as there are only a few people around here. The beach is also nice and there's a pathway that leads to the shore without us paying anything.

Of course a group photo can't be missed! The kids had the smaller sized milk teas while the adults all had the red velvet latte. The kids were all excited for the beach though but there were several changes of the beach.

Flower Beach was greatly affected by the recent typhoon Odette. It was obvious just by looking at their shoreline, their cottages had lost the roofs, their cottage island has no more pathway access to the resort but the greatest change really was that the sand had covered a huge part of the rock on this area.

This spot here where my sister in law and brother were sitting used to be a part of the rock wall but now, it has been covered with white sand. I remember when we had a photoshoot when Matti turned ten months, there was a huge part of the rock that was visible, but now, it's gone.

Although there were huge changes, we were all glad that the waters here is still clear. There were some seaweeds but that's normal. The kids loved the waters, we all had a great time! We were blessed to also witness a beautiful sunset view from here. Before we head home, we watched as the sun was setting down.

This day have been just a simple one, nothing fancy, but I am glad I could share this moments with the family. Milk tea is good wherever we are, beach or not, as long as you are with the ones you love, the drink is definitely a treat! Thanks for reading!
