I create 3D Gold Emblems of Elements using Sketchup! (with process)
Since there are some issues with plagiarism although it is not required it would help the curators a lot and could save their time by a ton for sure as Ive been a curator once so i think they would really appreciate just by helping them thru following @kstreet's suggestions.
With that here is my proof of ownership of this artwork.
We had some issues recently with plagiarism (thanks
@stekene for bringing them to my attention). Those users have been dealt with appropriately (including removal from the community).
To help prevent plagiarism, please include your username as a signature on your works of art when possible. Really easy to add to to a painting/drawing. For 3d things, pics that include your face or username (like on a piece of paper next to your art) would be great.
This isn't a requirement to get curated, it will just help me and others figure out when others are copying your work!
I will also pay more attention to this going forward. It's a shame that this is an issue, but such is life.

Sketchup 3D Process
- First I download all the 2d elements emblems from the resources channel of Holozing Discord then I import them all into SketchUp!
Then I traced the circles using arc tool in ketchup, mostly I used the 2 sides then middle arc which is easier to use than the other three I think
Then the semicircle above the fire symbol!
- Since all four symbols have identical bases like the circle around the symbols, i used the M then ctrl keyboard keys to multiply it into four so this will cut me a lot of time instead of doing it one by one the only hard stuff left to do now is the symbols of fire, grass, water and lightning.
- Now i started tracing the fire symbol, for me this is the hardest since i need a lot of trial and error to get the almost if not exact outline of the fire symbol because it has a lot of curves and irregulars. The easiest for me is the lightning since it is just zigzags.
- Then to solidify the bases need to cross a line so the plane would be filled
- After that i just used a gold texture from SketchUp texture club here is the link for that https://www.sketchuptextureclub.com/textures/materials/metals/brushed-metals/circular-brushed-gold-metal-texture-09912
- The hard part in texture is adjusting the position and sizes of the texture one by one!
- Now the last part is rendering using vray, just experiment the exposure tab to get your desired result
