Sometimes, in my life, I feel the passing of time is so slow. I pray and I wait, but nothing happens. Can be painful and confusing. But I have learned that God's time is always right, even when I don't know! Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that the Bible says ‘He hath made everything beautiful in his time.' I think of the fact that God never is late and He never is too early.
At times, I need answers, and I need them now. I would like my prayers to be granted quickly. Yet God sees the things that I don't. He has all the timing for what I need to do in my life right. I can recall a time I prayed for something that was so significant to me. I waited and waited, there was nothing. I almost gave up. Later on when the answer finally came I found out that if it had come sooner, I wouldn't have been ready for it. That experience has helped me to learn to trust God more.
Waiting is not something that is easy. It may challenge my faith and patience. But what does the bible tell me about waiting upon the Lord, Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” This gives me hope. It is not a waste of time to wait, it tells me that. It's not a time when God isn't working in me and preparing me for what is yet to come.
I have been made aware that, delays are not denials. God may not give us what we want because He has something else better in mind. Here, in Habakkuk 2:3, you can see that it reads, “Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” This verse gives me comfort for my heart. It gives me hope in knowing that God will fulfill His promise at the proper time.
Well, now I'm more patient. I pray and trust God for it. Remind myself that His timing is always right. I make my decision to trust Him even when I am feeling concerned.
So, in conclusion, God's timing is perfect and will never be like mine, but it is always best! I can trust Him and wait, and He not only gives me the answer, but peace in my heart. And this peace is a special peace.
