At first Julie Store was just a wish. Waiting to come to life.
The beginning was not easy. It seems impossible. We have so many things around stopping us. Like, where do we buy stocks?, how do we have the stuffs we need to operate the store?, how do we start, what do we do ? We do not have enough training? Where do we get funds? How do we keep it rolling?
Until,
We started in 2013, with all the courage we applied for a loan in a savings and loan cooperative. We started at 5,000 php. A few snacks, canned goods and noodle. We are paying our loan on a day by day basis. The space we used is the small space in Front of our house.
My best friend Mera (Merare Libaresos), stays at the store while I go to work.
It was not easy. Having small amount of capital, we have to replenish the stocks as soon as they are sold , or few stocks left.
I believed that we've saved enough to transfer on a larger space with the help of the cooperative I'm in. The Topform Multipurpose Cooperative .
We have transferred on a better space.
Secret?
There is no secret.
Have a goal.
Just do it.
Keep going until you've reached your goal.
Keep growing.
Continued learning is the key.
And consistency is the passage way.
