Hello all my friends everywhere. Follow me on a weekend trip with friends along one of the Mount Salak areas in Bogor Regency.
By car, we left the house at 07.00 WIB with the main destination in the Kawah Ratu area, Bogor Regency, Indonesia. Kawah Ratu is the object of climbing Mount Salak which is a mountain that is said to be full of mystery. But our arrival is not to unravel the mystery but only to relieve fatigue from the daily grind. We want to enjoy the view of the beauty of the outdoors.
After traveling for about two hours due to traffic jams, we arrived at the basecamp to park the vehicle. Basecamp is a shophouse with a fairly large yard. At this basecamp, before heading to the main destination, we had breakfast first while preparing all the necessities for the trip.
We started climbing to Kawah Ratu with the Pasir Reungit hiking trail. The start of the ascent started after we took care of the administration at the guard post. In this guard post we register or register by paying Rp. 225,000.00 for 8 personnel.
Start the hike with a rocky path with left and right are big trees and bushes. The trails here are not steep but gently sloping with rocks and muddy roads with a little mud. We enjoyed this trip even though it was tiring. Here, too, we met many other climbers, both those who were heading to Kawah Ratu and those who wanted to return after climbing.
It's been more than two hours we enjoyed the trip with several breaks to take some photos in several places until we finally arrived at an area called Kawah Mati.
This area is a favorite area for climbers to take pictures of the beauty and natural wonders. And in this area filled with rocks and steep hills with many dead trees. This area is also an area that smells of sulfur. I'm not sure why this area is called the Crater of the Dead. I also do not know the cause of the death of several trees in this area.
Thank you to all friends who have followed our journey which I share through my posts. Hopefully this place becomes one of the places that can be recommended for you to visit. Thank you hopefully useful.
