The Little Voice #day 6

I'm going to do something different today with my post today. I'm going to split it in two. The first part will be written in the morning, although, I slept in a little later so it won't be for too long. And the other part will be written, hopefully, later this evening.

I want to take some time to thank a whole bunch of people for all their help here in this new found world of steem. I want to explain my journey thus far. I'm amazed at how much I feel I've already learnt, and even more amazed by the magnitude of this project.

I intend to take some time, when at work during my lunch hour (actually it's only half an hour but I don't think lunch 30 minutes has the same ring) to read the white paper. I had a go at reading the blue paper already but will admit to not understanding very much.

Still, that will have to be it for part one of my split-time blog. I need to get on. See you later...after my workaday.

Now what took me hours to complete took you but a second to scroll down. I find it amazing how our lives are connected and time is relative. Don't you?

Talking of connection, that get's me back to my morning thinking and the fact that I wanted to show my gratitude to all the wonderful steemians I have met thus far.

It all started back in the day... 9 days to be precise and I wrote my very first post here on steemit. Little did I know that when I put in the secret code #introduceyourself it would be like the start of the magical dominoes falling.

I wrote about 'People Watching' and ended with an invite to connect with a handshake or a hug. Then in the comments - on my return to see if there had been any takers - there was a big bold image of a handshake and the words, "You've Been Introduced". Strange! I thought. What did that mean? Underneath the image there were more words...more clues.

I clicked and found two cute bitmoji caricatures and then @liaquatkhann's blog about his return to steemit. Below this was another newbie post by @elraffblog about their passion for travel. I scrolled a little bit more and suddenly read the words... Have ya met Jules? And there was my first blog. Followed by some lovely, lovely words of welcome.

@xcountytravelers you were there to greet me as I entered into this strange and delightful world. You even called me a "wonderful writer" and that was so Wonder Full of you.

You then explained why you do what you do here at steemit.com and the heartbreak you felt with your own introduction post - which is so warm, funny and beautiful. I love your photos. I love how you tell your story. I can even imagine the day you travel over to Ireland and I take you to an Irish Folk Festival here in County Clare and Scott can get his guitar out and play. We can sit and listen, chat a bit, and maybe you can teach me how to embroider. You know that kind of thing.

So here starts my gratitude posting. Today I am grateful for having been found by Ren (and Scott), who in turn led me to other beautiful steemians.
