Summer in Philippines is typically dry. And there were few cases of fire are reported in our area.As part of the fire prevention the City government of Lapu-Lapu was conducting a fire drill in our company as part of the discussion was talking about how to use the fire extinguisher.

*Don't forget the word "PASS", to employ the fire extinguisher with proper techniques.

-pull the pin.
A
-aim the noozle at the base of the fire. Hitting the tops of the flame you've got to smoother the sucker at it's best.

-squeeze the trigger in a controlled manner to release the agent.

-sweep from side to side until fire is in control. Most of the fire extinguisher have only 20 seconds to discharge.
>fire extinguisher is disposable.Throw it in a proper place after using. Replace immediately!
Here are the different types of fire extinguishers :
Class A- for ordinary solids like woods,clothes and paper products
Class B- for flammable liquids and gases.
Class C- for electric fire.
Class D- for flammable metals
Class E- for oils and grease fire.
Safety Reminders:
>Never use water on electric fire you might get electricuted and on oil and grease it might explode and spread!
